See nice photos of legionnaires from the Foreign Legion’s 4th Squadron, 1st Foreign Cavalry Regiment (1er REC) and the 4th Company, 2nd Foreign Infantry Regiment (2e REI) during Operation Sangaris taking place in the Central African Republic (CAR), in August 2015.
The legionnaires from 1er REC and 2e REI have been placed in the CAR since June 2015, together with legionnaires from the 1st Foreign Engineer Regiment (1er REG). Operation Sangaris started in December 2013. There are around 600 French troops participating in the operation now.
