In early March 2020, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) organized a multinational winter exercise in Norway, near Narvik, called Cold Response 2020. Young legionnaires from the 2nd Foreign Engineer Regiment (2e REG) participated. See the video how they were prepared for.
Young legionnaires from the 3rd Company, 2e REG were well trained in France for the joint winter exercice Cold Response in northern Norway, where the Foreign Legion’s 13e DBLE fought with Germans 80 years earlier, in April 1940. The Cold Response exercise was planned for 2-18 March. However, due to the corona virus, it was cancelled on March 10 and more than 15,000 soldiers from nine countries had to put down their weapons and go home.
Wait a few seconds for loading. Thank you.
