13e DBLE: Desert exercise

In March 2014, an exercise took part at the Regimental camp of the 13th Demi-Brigade of the Foreign Legion (13e DBLE), based in the desert of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), a country located in the southeast end of the Arabian Peninsula, Southwest Asia, bordering the Persian Gulf.

Between March 15 and 20, the legionnaires of the 2nd Company of the 2nd Foreign Infantry Regiment (2e REI), while being a part of 13e DBLE for that moment as the Rotational company (Compagnie tournante, a company formed by the companies from 2e REI or 2e REP, being placed in UAE for a 4-month-long mission, a tournant), were participating in a military exercise to train and progress their infantry skills in the desert conditions.
