3e REI: 2024 Jaguar Course | French Foreign Legion Information

See some nice images from the international Jaguar Course, a two-month jungle warfare course organized by the French Foreign Legion’s 3rd Foreign Infantry Regiment (3e REI). The annual course is designed primarily for platoon leaders (both NCOs and officers) from France, as well as allied nations around the world.

One of the hardest courses on the planet, the Jaguar Course is run by the Jungle Training Center (Centre d’Entraînement en Forêt Equatoriale, CEFE), 3e REI. The course usually starts in February and lasts nine weeks, through April. It includes an initial week destined for tests and eight weeks spent in the Amazonian forest of French Guiana, South America. Each successful participant will receive a certificate and a badge with a jaguar.

This time, in late February 2024, 40 participants were enrolled in the course.
