3e REI: Two jungle courses at CEFE 2019

In May 2019, the famous Jungle Training Center (CEFE) of the Foreign Legion’s 3rd Foreign Infantry Regiment (3e REI) in French Guiana saw two jungle courses prepared for future French officers and for Czech Army instructors.

The CEFE in French Guiana is seen as the hardest and most professional jungle training center among western militaries. The legionnaires run military jungle training courses not only for legionnaires, but also for French troops of all military branches. An international jungle training course called JAGUAR is also organized for foreign soldiers within the CEFE.

In April-May 2019, future French officers from the Joint Military Academy (EMIA) were trained at the CEFE, followed by military instructors from the Czech Army, who attended the international course between May 6-22.
