Major Raymond Cabaribère (1913 – 1954)
Major Raymond Cabaribère was an officer of the French Foreign Legion. He was killed in action on April 21, 1954, during the Indochina War, while commanding the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Foreign Infantry Regiment. He was 41 years old.

Between April 4 and 10, 2024, the Foreign Legion’s 3rd Foreign Infantry Regiment (3e REI) organized a regimental maneuver, Exercise Desperado. About 300 legionnaires participated.
DLEM: 2024 DIO Training in Lesotho
From March 14 to 22, 2024, a detachment of the Foreign Legion Detachment in Mayotte (DLEM) provided a military training mission to their partners in Lesotho, a sovereign enclave of South Africa.
4e RE: 2024 Remise de Kepi blanc in Monaco
In early April 2024, a platoon of enlisted volunteers from the French Foreign Legion’s 4th Foreign Regiment (4e RE) completed the initial four-week instruction and were allowed to take the oath. The ceremony took place exceptionally on April 4 in Monaco, a sovereign city-state and constitutional monarchy located on the French Riviera. It was presided over by Prince Albert II, head of state, and General Youchtchenko, head of the Foreign Legion.
13e DBLE, 1er REG: Ivory Coast 2023-2024
In February 2024, men of the 13th Foreign Legion Demi-Brigade (13e DBLE) and the 1st Foreign Engineer Regiment (1er REG) returned from West Africa’s Ivory Coast. They were deployed there for four months.
