In July 2018, having already back from their four-month mission in Mali (Africa), legionnaires of the 13th Demi-Brigade of the Foreign Legion (13e DBLE) could take part in some public ceremonies within or nearby their Camp of Larzac in southern France.
Between January and May, the HQ Company + 1st + 2nd Company, 13e DBLE + their commanding officer were being deployed to Mali in West Africa, where they successfully participated in Operation Barkhane. During their mission, several legionnaires were wounded. About 200 rebels were “neutralized”.
