The legionnaires from the 2nd Foreign Parachute Regiment (2e REP) of the French Foreign Legion took part in IDEX 2015, the International Defence Exhibition and Conference taking place in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Between February 22 and 26, the international defence exhibition IDEX demonstrated the latest technology across land, sea and air sectors of defence, while taking place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. During IDEX, the legionnaires of 2e REP demonstrated a number of tactics, while being equipped with FÉLIN, the French infantry combat system of new generation.
The 2e REP legionnaires are in UAE now as part of the 13th Demi-Brigade of the Foreign Legion (13e DBLE), which has been stationed near Abu Dhabi since the end of 2011.
