2e REG: Sainte Barbe 2014

As stated before, the French Foreign Legion’s engineering units celebrated Sainte Barbe (Saint Barbara), the patron of military engineers, on 3 and 5 December 2014. While her feast day is on December 4, the 2nd Foreign Engineer Regiment (2e REG) conducted a parade in honor of Sainte Barbe on December 3.

The ceremony of 2e REG took place at Quartier maréchal Koenig, the headquarters of 2e REG based in Saint Christol, southeastern France. The old flags of Foreign Legion engineering units serving in Indochina during the First Indochina War (1946 – 1954) were presented in the ceremony. The Foreign Legion Music took part in the ceremony too.
