On July 14, the Bastille Day Military Parade (Défilé militaire du 14 Juillet) passed down the Champs-Elysées, Paris. As always, the Foreign Legion took part in the parade. See the legionnaires from the Foreign Legion Music Band and the 1st Foreign Engineer Regiment (1er REG), accompanied by the Foreign Legion Pioneers, marching together down the street in front of the French president.
After the parade, the legionnaires received a standing ovation from French firemen in a street of Paris.
Unfortunately, at the same time, on July 14, a legionnaire from the 1er REG was killed in Mali, Africa.
