As every year in July, members of the French Foreign Legion are preparing dutifully for the Bastille Day Military Parade that takes place annually in Paris on July 14. See a nice video showing the legionnaires’ rehearsal for the parade.
The Foreign Legion will be traditionally represented by the Foreign Legion Pioneers and the Foreign Legion Music Band. This year, also a combined detachment of the “Legion’s base (plinth)” comprising men of the GRLE, 4e RE, and the 1er RE will participate, accompanied by the three regimental colors of these units. The legionnaires will be led by their commander-in-chief, General Alain Lardet.
The rehearsal is taking place at the Satory Camp located near Versailles, west of Paris.
