2e REG parading in Apt

Yesterday, the 2nd Foreign Engineer Regiment (2e REG) has published the images of its November’s military ceremony in the town of Apt, southeastern France. During the ceremony, two legionnaires received the decrees of naturalisation (gaining French nationality/citizenship) from the mayor of Apt. The regiment was also presenting itself to the public.

The 2e REG was parading in Apt because of the End of WWI celebrations, on November 11, 2013.

Apt is an old town with the more than 2000 years old history. The town was destroyed by the Romans about 125 BC and restored in 45 BC by Julius Caesar.
