2e REI: Infernal Run 2019 | French Foreign Legion Information

On April 12, 2019, the sixth year of Infernal Run took place. An annual event organized by the French Foreign Legion’s 2nd Foreign Infantry Regiment (2e REI) occured near Nimes, the regiment’s garrison in southern France. See a nice video + photos.

As usually, the run was 8 miles (12 km) long and consisted of 30 natural or artificial obstacles. Almost 1,000 participants from 2e REI and other Foreign Legion regiments (e.g. 1er RE, 4e RE, 2e REP or 2e REG) were involved and formed five-man teams. Several teams of the French Army (including two female teams) also participated.
