Between June 22-23, 2018, the Foreign Legion HQ participated in the French Army’s Journée des Blessés (Wounded Soldier Day) and arranged a meeting + several cohesion activities for its wounded legionnaires.
The Wounded Soldier Day is commemorated on June 23. The meeting and the activities for the wounded legionnaires (under the title My Family is my Power) took place at Quartier Vienot of Aubagne (close to Marseille in southern France), the base of the Foreign Legion Command (COMLE) and the 1er RE, and in the vicinity of the town.
In the evening of 22 June, the wounded legionnaires and their close relatives attended an open-air music concert within the HQ base.
