2e REI: Infernal Run 2017 | French Foreign Legion Information

On April 21, 2017, the 2nd Foreign Infantry Regiment (2e REI) organized the fifth Infernal Run, an annual event taking place at Camp de Garrigues near Nimes, the regiment’s garrison in southern France.

The run was 8 miles (12 km) long and comprised a variety of natural or artificial obstacles. It was organized at the occasion of coming Camerone Day (April 30), the most important event of the Foreign Legion. Hundreds of legionnaires from the 2e REI and other Legion regiments were involved in.
