3e REI: 2023 Jaguar Course | French Foreign Legion Information

See some nice images from the international Jaguar Course, a two-month jungle warfare course organized by the French Foreign Legion’s 3rd Foreign Infantry Regiment (3e REI). It is designed mainly for platoon leaders from allied armies around the world.

One of the hardest courses on the planet, the Jaguar Course is run by the Jungle Training Center (Centre d’Entraînement en Forêt Equatoriale, CEFE), 3e REI. The course usually starts in February and lasts eight weeks, through April. It takes place in the Amazonian forest of French Guiana, South America. Each successful participant will receive a certificate and a badge with a jaguar.

This time, in late February 2023, 42 participants were enrolled in the course. Nevertheless, soon only 36 remained.
