The AMF course is managed by the 3rd Foreign Infantry Regiment (3e REI) and lasts eight weeks, including seven weeks spent in the Amazon jungle of French Guiana. The Jungle Instructor and his assistants comprise the core of the Jungle Training Center (CEFE), the hardest jungle training center for Western armies in the world.
