As stated earlier, the former Foreign Legion officer and putschist Hélie Denoix de Saint Marc has died. The last homage was paid to him in the Saint-Jean Cathedral in Lyon, thereafter in the Saint-Jean square in front of the cathedral, on August 30, 2013.

The last homage was paid to him by legionnaires of the 2e REP and one platoon of the 1er RE, by Foreign Legion parachute units veterans, a commander of the French Army staff General Ract Madoux and others, including a large crowd of people. The Foreign Legion Music was playing during the ceremony.
