Netero and Météorite operations in Mali | French Foreign Legion Information

Some images from Operation Netero and Operation Météorite. The operations took place in Mali last month (July). During two weeks of Operation Netero, three companies of legionnaires (together with Malian and Nigerian troops) were searching for rebels east and southeast of Gao, in the 100km x 100km (62×62 miles) large area.

Operation Météorite. A week ago, about one hundred French soldiers including legionnaires and two Malien gendarmes were sent approximately 40km northeast of Gao, to the Djebock region. Soldiers were searching for rebels and their hideouts with hidden weapons.
