The French Foreign Legion information office (smaller recruiting center) in Lyon is one of the recruiting centers of the Foreign Legion called PILE (Poste d’Information de la Légion Etrangère), where you can be enlisted in.
Usually, the center in Lyon is open all year round, every working days during working hours. That means, you can be enlisted in the Legion in this office between Monday and Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (09:00 to 17:00). Once you are allowed to enlist, free accommodation, free food and free clothing are immediately provided to you by the Legion.
The information office/recruiting center of Lyon belongs to the selection center in Aubagne. In Lyon, a new candidate/volunteer will pass his initial interview. Within few days, all enlisted candidates are provided with a free train ticket and sent to Aubagne, to join the main selection process.
