Xinlei Wu had a child dream about joining the Foreign Legion. In 2006, when he came to France to study there, he couldn’t resist the temptation and presented himself in front of Fort Nogent, the Legion’s recruitning center in Paris. He passed successfully basic training and asked for the 2nd Foreign Parachute Regiment (2e REP), the Foreign Legion’s only airborne unit. He eventually spent 10 years in the Foreign Legion.
