MLE: 2023 Music Parade in Wetzlar | French Foreign Legion Information

See a video showing the well-known Foreign Legion Music Band (MLE) and their participation in the 2023 Music Parade in Germany’s Wetzlar in early March.

On March 10, 2023, Europe’s tour of military and brass music arrived in the Buderus Arena in Wetzlar, Germany. Six international orchestras with several hundred artists presented Europe’s unique and largest live music spectacle of brass music. Music corps, marching bands as well as official military and representative orchestras performed a program with titles ranging from military to classical or swing to rock and pop. Classical marches were represented as well as current songs and evergreens. Dozens of pipes and drums took part in the parade. The highlight was the grand finale, when all 350 participants unite to form the “Orchestra of Nations” to play music together.

On June 18, 2023, an important and unique concert of the Foreign Legion Music Band will be organized in the OLYMPIA Hall in Paris, to support the Foreign Legion Mutual Aid Foyer (FELE), a public institution headed by the COMLE. The FELE manages fund-raising campaigns in support of the wounded legionnaires and veterans. If you are interested, learn more here:
