A nice video showing legionnaires from the 1st Platoon, 1st Company, 2nd Foreign Parachute Regiment (2e REP), celebrating on 30 April their Camerone Day in N’Djamena in Chad (Central Africa), where the legionnaires have been deployed since January.
N’Djamena of Chad is one of the places the 2e REP legionnaires from 1st Company are based at in Africa now. It is a MOB base. Another platoon has been based at FOB base of Madama in Niger. Its legionnaires participated in operations in the Salvador Pass.
In the video, a platoon leader is speaking about the tradition of Camerone Day, when cadres serve the simple legionnaires with breakfast. A legionnaire with one year and two months of service states it is his first celebration of Camerone in the 2e REP and on top of that he is happy to celebrate this holiday in Chad.
