Last week, on November 27, the Combined Arms Brigade Serval 2 (Brigade Interarmes Serval 2), having been serving during the Operation in Mali this year, was officially dissolved in the headquarters of the 2nd Foreign Infantry Regiment (2e REI) in Nimes, southern France.

The Tactical Combined Arms Task Force (Sous-groupement Tactique Interarmes, SGTIA), a main part of the Brigade, was composed solely of the Foreign Legion’s units: the 2e REI, 1st Foreign Cavalry Regiment (1er REC) and 1st Foreign Engineer Regiment (1er REG). Legionnaires of these regiments were also present during the dissolution’s ceremony.
