See nice pictures from an exhibition dedicated to the French Foreign Legion that was open in Poland this March. The exhibition is under the patronage of the Foreign Legion Veteran & Friend Association in Poland (AAALEP).
The exhibition was organized at the Military Museum of Wielkopolska in Poznan (west-central Poland) by Krzysztof Schramm, the historian of the Association and a professor of history at a local lyceum. It was organized in honor of this year’s 190th anniversary of the French Foreign Legion and 100th anniversary of the 1st Foreign Cavalry Regiment (1er REC). Both anniversaries occurred in this March.
The exhibition was opened to the public by Mr. Tuszynski, president of the AAALEP, on March 6. It continues on view through September 5, 2021. About 150 items are displayed. Because of the travel restrictions across Europe due to the COVID-19 (and the restrictions existing even within Poland), here are several pictures provided to our website by Mr. Schramm to make the exhibition almost “online”. Enjoy it.
