Premier chant du 1er REC (First song of the 1er REC) is a song of the French Foreign Legion. It uses the melody of the “Lisa, Lisa” (Studentenweise), a popular German folk and military song dating from the WWI period. The 1er REC adopted and modified it as its first regimental song probably in the early 1920s. Later, the regiment chose another song as its official one: La colonne.
