On November 2, the French Foreign Legion’s headquarters, the 1st Foreign Regiment (1er RE), carried out its November’s traditional short-term military exercise called Vaillant. It took place in Pourcieux (a small village in the Provence region in southeastern France) and lasted two days.
Legionnaires from 1er RE participated in the event to improve their military tactic capabilities. At the end of the exercise, a parade took place in Pourcieux, to award some legionnaires with medals and to commemorate the fallen soldiers in front of the War Memorial 1914-18.
