4e RE: A few images from Corporals course | French Foreign Legion Information

See a few images of legionnaires from the French Foreign Legion during their eight-week-long Corporals course (CME), which took place in the 4th Foreign Regiment (4e RE), a training unit of the Legion based in Castelnaudary, southern France.

The images were taken within the regiment and also on a training farm located near “Castel”. Note the legionnaires wearing a green foulard of Team Leaders Training Company (Compagnie d’Instruction des Cadres, CIC) on their left shoulder.

The Legion’s Corporals Course mission is to provide future Caporals with the intensive education of general military subjects and leadership skills necessary to lead younger legionnaires.
